Ma. Cymbeline Borres-Parlade, who achieved recognition as the longtime legal counsel of the Philippine sugar industry, has substantial experience in the field of commercial law, particularly, international trade law and issues. She has been involved in crafting policy and legislation relating to agricultural trade matters, and has assisted her many clients in diverse topics such as tax, environmental law, green energy, trade, tariffs and customs matters, agrarian reform and labor. She is also a trained arbitrator and has been involved as legal counsel in various construction arbitration disputes.
