He is well versed and has advised domestic and foreign clients on problem areas over a broad range of construction contracts, including the FIDIC standard form of contracts involving design, engineering, procurement and construction projects, the Construction Industry Authority of the Philippines' Document No. 101, and other customized contracts.
Mr. Eco has more than a decade of considerable experience in Primavera, PERT-CPM and other generally accepted engineering methods or systems of construction scheduling, preliminary claims analysis and expert witness evaluation, and preparation and prosecution of construction claims and defenses. He has advised and assisted clients in managing potential construction claims, in many cases achieving resolution of issues before they ripen into costly and time-consuming litigation. A good part of his experience relates to handling complex construction law disputes involving, among others, design professional responsibility, engineering and construction defects, entitlement to time extension and additional cost claims, and compliance with contract specifications and other technical requirements.
